Particularly the surreal ones, he also appeared in dreams in the form of inanimate objects. Powers: The Oneiroi emerged each night like a flock of bats from their cavernous home in Erebos, the land of eternal darkness beyond the rising sun. The Oneiroi passed through one of two gates. The first of these, made of horn, was the source of the prophetic god-sent dreams, while the other, constructed of ivory, was the source of dreams which were false and without meaning. According to some the leader of the Oneiroi was Morpheus, a god who appeared in the dreams of kings in the guise of a man, delivering messages from the gods. The brother of Morpheus and Phobetor, who are far more down-to-earth, Phantasos specializes in symbolic dreams of a deeply meaningful nature. Dreams prompted by him are rich in imagery, and may yield important hints of past, present or future. But you'll have to go elsewhere to find out what it all means because Phantasos isn't telling. But be careful reading too much into his dreams as they are notoriously tricky to interpret. Where else do you think the word 'fantasy' comes from? Then Eris would come to him, and she would make him her lover while Ares was in the bed of Aphrodite. She would use him for his own ends and he would be none the wiser. At least for now. War: If it had not been for the appearance of Eris, Phantasos was quite sure she would not even have known of the war. And it was that fact that would decide his part in the war, Eris would appear to him and offer him a new place, away from the darkness and away from the isolation and the loneliness and he would take it and he would fight for Ares to the best of his ability. And he played his part well as a secret weapon since even the underworld Gods and Goddesses seemed to have forgotten about his existence. But as the dust settled he would find that the entire time he had been just a play thing of Eris’ and anger and pain as back as Erebos. He would have her revenge on her for thinking he was just her plaything. But it would all be for nothing, for just as he won his freedom from the pure black pit that he would be expelled to the human plane. Mortal: Nox was bourn the only child to Luna Viola Mariano (nee: Calvaruso) and Nikolas ‘Nico’ Greco Mariano. The couple met while in school and shares a passion for museum work and quickly married after collage and for a while used to work at the same museum but now they are in charge of their own museums. Nox lived an almost perfectly normal life, nothing extraordinary to note besides the dreams, and the dreams always gave him the best material for his painting, and painting was his true passion. There was just something about being able to create any world her wanted that seemed fully satisfying. Nox excelled in art and had more then a natural talent for it. After finishing high school Nox traveled to America and achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, he then achieved his Master of Fine Arts at the Pratt Institute in NYC. He is currently doing his post grad work at the University of Athens for Museum Studies and living in a small flat in Plaka.
